Are We To Blame for Today's World? YES!

Technology... what is it? Is it something that helps us out? Is it something that people do for fun? Is it something that is ruining our environment? If you answered yes to all those questions, you just may be right. Technology has helped us out in many ways. The car has made it useful to travel around to furthur distances. The mp3 player has made it easier for us to listen to tunes while on the streets. The cellphone has made it easier to communicate with one another. But if you look at all of these "technological improvements" that man has done, it may be helping us in one way, and tearing us apart in another. We have created global warming. It is because of us that our next generations will have to live in a filthy planet like this one. When the people of the next generation look up into the sky, they will be wondering "what have they done to this place?". It is about time that we stop this non-sense before our world turns upside down forever. We must all take actions for what we have caused. Things such as cellphones, PDA's, and mp3's should be made so that they can be disposed of properly. Things such as cars should be made so that less emissions are being thrown into the Earth's atmosphere. Half the people of today do not care about what is happening to the world, but when their children or grand children go out to play in the future, they will know how big of a deal it was. Please, if you are reading this, help out the environment in anyway. Join an environmental-club of some sort, where you clean a certain area, such as a lake, or a street. Please take action and get involved, because I know for a fact that if I was born in the next generation, I wouldn't want to be living in a filthy environment like today...

Most people are complaining that gas prices are going way too high, compared to about 10-20 years ago. I think that the rise in gas prices are a good thing, because it's taking more cars off the road. Due to the cost of fuel, people do not travel as far as they normally do. Do you think the increasing gas prices are a being ositive on us, or negative on us?

a) I'm glad that the gas prices are taking cars off the roads. If the gas prices keep up, there will be hardly anyone driving to places.

b) No, I disagree. I want to go on vacation in the summer, spend time with my family, and do all sorts of things. The gas prices are limiting my time to chill with my family and friends.

People have complained in the past that the enw Hybrid and Green cars were not appealing, or fast at all. Most sport car companies have turned their sport cars into Green cars. They look good, and also run fast at the same time. Companies such as Koenigsegg have super-cars that are Green. These cars may apppeal to most people, and persuade them to buy them, and make the Earth go more Green.

As you know, technology in the medical field is growing. We are saving lives, due to the new technological changes. About 100 years ago, half these technologies were not available to us. The only downside to the rise in medical technology is that medical costs are also rising. Some people think that these new medical technologies are not helpful, since they are increasing medical costs. Do you think that the rise in medical technologies are good improvements, or bad improvements?

a) Medical technologies are saving lives. You cannot over-think money when you are saving someone's life. I'd say these improvements in medical technologies are very helpful.

b) These medical technologies are weighing down our pockets. We're losing money, due to these improvements. If the medical technology continues to increase, we may never be able to pay off even the simplest medical bill.

Well, gyess what? THERE IS STILL HOPE! Most famous car companies have turned their speed racers into green cars. My favourite car, the Dodge Viper, has also become green. Here is a list of the fastest green cars today:

1. Koenigsegg CCXR
2. Telsa - 210 km/h
3. E85 Viper
4. Steam Car - 346 km/h
5. Audi R10 TDI - 330 km/h
6. Volvo Aria
7. Ford Fusion - 333 km/h
8. Prius - 210 km/h
9. NUNA 4 - 129 km/h
10. Venturi Electric

This is my fifth blog on what I know so far. I have explained previously that cars were turning into hybrid cars and electric cars, to save on energy. I created a recent poll and found out that most people drive or have someone who drives them to places. Even if all the cars turned Hybrid, and even more people begin to drive, wouldn't we still be polluting the earth? I know that it wouldn't pollute as much as the older non-hybrid cars, but the situation that the earth is in now means that we should actually stop Hybrid cars and turn everything into electric cars. Even if we make our cars put less emissions into the air, soon enough, we will have a huge global warming problem. In my opinion, electric cars are probably the best way to go.

The reason behind this is that newer medical technology is making it easier to cure our patients (good part). But, as technology keeps on increasing, our medical costs are also soaring into the air (bad part). As newer medical technology begins to come out, our pockets begin to get lighter. This is also a problem to those who cannot afford to pay basic medical bills.

Here's my second version of my previous blog "Technology's Ups and Downs". Basiclaly, I have learned a few new information in the past couple of weeks. You can't really blame cars for the main cause of global warming. Cars are a good reason, but they aren't the main reasons. There are still many different sources of pollution, such as facteries. Also, some people have mentioned that these new Hybrid and electric vehicles are not as "appealing" as a Porsche Carrera, or a Ford GT, or even a DODGE VIPER. But, you never know what plans are here for the future. It shouldn't be too hard to turn these energy-efficient vehicles into a nice sporty-looking ride. If people want sleek-looking cars, these fuel-efficient cars shouldn't take too long to turn into a sleek-looking car. What I still want to know is how much fuel is wasted each year on average per person who drives. If you have any information regarding this, please reply to my blog. Thanks!

a) I want a greener and healthy environment to live in. I want a clean Earth!

b) I Want All the New Inventions I can think of, such as a car that goes 300 km/h, or a 85" Flat-Panel 1080p HDTV! These new inventions are totally awesome!!!

c) I would like a little bit of both, even though the Earth will continue to be as it is today...

For those of you who have read my previous blogs and have commented on them, thanks a lot! Anyways, this new blog of mine is basically asking you, the readers, to help me with some new facts. I basically want to know if there are any plans on making the inventions of today become more energy-efficient. Are there any plans on making inventions today go green? I know for a fact that cars have been going green lately, but what other things are going green? Also if you know any other information about changes being made to technology, or any news on the amount of energy being wasted today due to technology, please leave a comment regarding it. Also, in your opinion, should our inventions today become more environment-friendly, or do you think they should not, because they are basically degrading our inventions?

Technology's Ups and Downs

The issue that I'm presenting is about the various "ups and downs" about Technology. Technology is a rapidly growing part of our lives. Newer and newer things are replacing the older and older things. Things such as cars, computers, cellular devices (such as PDA's, cellphones, etc.) are just a few of the inventions in life that are changing. All of us are coping with these changes, but we still do not realize the various problems that we are facing. Let us take the car for example. About a century ago, horse-wagons were relied on for major transportation. Today, we have a whole "population" of cars all over the world. We have cars known as "gas-guzzlers", which are very poor on fuel economy. In order to fix most of these problems, inventors have invented various solutions, such as the Hybrid vehicles, and even vehicles that run on electricity, rather than fuel. This is only one aspect of the various problems that we are facing. Cars are being changed so that they can reduce the amount of pollution that they produce, but there are still more issues. Let's take the computer for example. Ever since the computer was made (probably in the early 80's to the early 90's), humans have been using computers very frequently. They are an important aspect of our lives, but if you look at the average computer user today, they probably use the computer for at least 3 hours per day. Half of this is probably not even for a good cause. Ever since IM (Instant Messaging) had come along, people have been using the internet for way too long. No one bothers to go outside, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy life. All they do is spend half their lives on the computer. All this comes back to TECHNOLOGY. If any of you out there have purchased a 50" Plasma TV, you may be satisfied with the product, but you do not know the consequences. There are even plans to banning the selling of large plasma tv's, due to the fact that they are very energy inefficient. This is also another problem that we are dealing with. These are just a few examples to why technology is improving and is not improving. In my opinion, I think that we are losing more than we are gaining. I will be doing more research and creating more blogs. Please comment on your opinions to what I have to say. Also, feel free to read my other blogs!

Is Technology For Better or For Worse? (2)

This is a sequel to my other surveys. My question for this survey is: Should newer technological improvements continue to grow, or are they ruinng our human lives? Are we being more active, or letting technology take control of our lives? For example: The making of the plasma TV would probably make more people want to watch tv...

a) New technology is ruining the human life, we are not being active at all, all we do are drive cars, watch tv, use the computer, etc...

b) New technology is awesome! I only watch tv, use the computer, or drive sometimes. Most of the time, I enjoy life...

c) I don't care if technologies are ruining life, as long as I'm happy with what I do! I don't like to be active...

I'm making a survey about Technology. Today, there are many different types of technological changes. Hybrid cars are replacing our regular cars. Electric cars are also being brought in. In your opinion, are these good changes or bad changes?

a) They are all awesome changes...

b) The Electric cars are not good at all, they are slow and are not as fast, they are like bikes of the 21st century...

c) The Hybrid cars are just a waste of time and money, they are very slow and are not efficient...

d) Both b) and c)
